The General Introduction of Malaysia 2007

Chinese Export Commodities Exhibition & Investment Conference (Malaysia) 2007 (hereinafter referred to as CECEM), which is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, People’s Republic of China and organized by China Foreign Trade Centre has been successfully held for three years since 2004 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

After three years’ development, the quality and influence of CECEM has been great upgraded, it is started as a general exhibition and now is turning into a professional exhibition gradually, while the quality and quantity of buyers are increasing continually. It has made tremendous contributions to the trade between China and ASEAN, which is admired and regarded highly by the Malaysia government and businessmen. Moreover, it builds up an effective platform to open up the new market, to seek chances of business cooperation and to stimulate talks among partners.

China has long-term and friendly relationship with ASEAN, especially with Malaysia. The bilateral trade has been developed rapidly under the dynamic policies of economy and trade. At present, Malaysia has become China’s biggest trade partner comparing to the other members of ASEAN, and China’s seventh biggest trade partner throughout the world. CECEM keeps its role as a regionally and internationally specialized exhibition, which is: basing on Malaysian market, facing to the ASEAN, and radiating to the South Asia and Middle East. Several bilateral investment conferences are being held with the attendees including the Malaysia local government and the buyers from east and south Asia.

This year, according to the role of CECEM and the newly demand of bilateral trade’s development, Chinese Export Commodities Exhibition & Investment Conference (Malaysia) which has been held for 3 times will be renamed as Chinese Import and Export Commodities Exhibition & Investment Conference (Malaysia) 2007 (CIECEM 2007).
