Angelito Alolod, regional Science and Technology chief, said the drive was launched last Wednesday through a forum held here that introduced participants to available technologies aimed at improving production while sustaining the environment. Topics discussed during the forum were the potentials of solar energy as source for lighting, heating and cooling; carbohydrate packaging of biodegradable plastics; green building designs; as well as grease terminators and grease traps in industrial applications. Other topics also taken up during the discussions were wetland development and urban mining and its by-products.
